TL Dickerson

Author

TL Dickerson, born Tracy Lee Dickerson, was raised in a small, Italian town in southern New Jersey.  A town, where you better know the difference between gravy and sauce.  Growing up in an Italian family made for a fun, happy, and animated childhood.  TL still resides in southern New Jersey with Gail, her wife of sixteen years, and their fur baby, a lazy housecat named Sweetie.  With the encouragement of her wife, mom and dad, and a host of great friends, she has written and self-published two romance/erotica novels, Servicing the Rich, and A Breath in Time.

Writing was second nature to TL, and in high school, not only did she love reading poetry, she loved to dabble in writing it, too.  As an adult, she tried her hand at short erotica stories, passing them around to friends.  Although the stories were well-received by them, life got in the way, and writing was pushed to the wayside.  In 2015, her wife urged her to start writing again, insisting she enjoyed those stories from long ago.  One night, TL took pen to paper and wrote a short erotica story.  That erotica story ended up being the first chapter in Servicing the Rich, a story about a casino worker in Atlantic City, NJ, who meets a celebrity one night in valet.  The attraction is explosive, and takes them on a series of sexual escapades that leads to conflict and confusion, and an Italian family that’s got lots of love to give.

She had a bunch of fun writing A Breath in Time, a story of two women, who have been attracted to each other for years.  However, they never got together because one of them is always in a relationship, while the other is single.  Both of her novels involve love and sex, with a bit of a comedic twist.

One of her biggest passions is the American Civil War.  Her interest was so great, that she’s travelled to many of the battle sites throughout the US, her favorite being Gettysburg, PA.  Having this love of history, and having this love of romance, she decided to combine the two, and has written a two-part historical romance series.  It’s a lot different from what she usually writes, but she wanted to shed a light on hundreds of women that dressed as men to fight in the Civil War.  Over 400 are known, and countless others have faded into history, never being detected.  In her story, a woman does just that, disguises herself as a man to join, and fight for, the Union Army.  Behaving as a man would take some practice.  Being a soldier, would require even more.  She mustn’t be discovered, and this becomes increasingly difficult, when she falls in love with a southern belle, who’s feisty and cavalier attitude makes her all the more attractive.  This current work is in progress, and its release with Sapphire Books will be announced at a future date.
