Rhonda Webster
Author
Rhonda was born in Denver, Colorado, as a middle child who grew up with severely buck teeth and undiagnosed Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Due to shyness, it wasn’t until high school that her life began to blossom.
As a hospital nurse, she has helped people in their dying moments. As a nursing instructor, she helped frightened students enter the field of nursing, and as a jail nurse, she came to understand the mindset of many police officers.
Rhonda believes you only get one shot at life, so she has: gone on a helicopter ride over Mt. Rushmore, briefly flew a small airplane, parasailed across a bay in Mexico, raced down Colorado mountains on an alpine slide, and a zipline, jumped off a high bridge during Yellowstone winter, and nearly drowned in a whitewater rafting trip when their raft crashed into a fallen tree.
She has a strong love of land, animals, and real characters, particularly older lesbian women who are full of wisdom yet often underrepresented in lesbian written work. She believes she is “dog dependent” and lives with her partner Laura, who is loving, generous, and funny. Their pets include a clever cat, many loving rescue dogs, and a flock of colorful chickens.
